Dr. Philip Supply
Philip Supply has studied Engineering in Biochemistry at the University of Louvain, Belgium,
where he obtained his diploma in 1987. He obtained his PhD in 1994 at the same University,
on yeast proton pump enzymology and genetics. Between 1994 and 1996, he performed his post-doctoral
training on the use of BCG as recombinant vaccine and on genetic regulation in pathogenic mycobacteria
at the Institut Pasteur de Lille, France. Since then, he works in this Institute with a position
of Research Associate of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) obtained in 1996.
He obtained his habilitation to direct research in 2003. His research interest focuses on the
molecular evolution and population structure of tubercle bacilli, and their implications for
the epidemiology and history of tuberculosis.
